Card reader connection kit

I ordered a carder reader connection kit from amazon. What is it ? Well join the club , I had no idea either. I found out about from an email from amazon saying that since I bought an iPad cover from them ( which I did and love) I might be interested in this item. It was only $6.06, hhmmmm and supposedly you put the sd card from your digital camera into it and plug it into the connection port on your iPad and it downloads all the photos on the card onto your iAd. You can also use the cable from your camera to hook up. Meaning you don't have to open your commuter to download to your iPad. Yes, I was skeptical. But $6 I was willing to take the risk. It arrived yesterday and in the midst if our snowstorm I attempted this daring feat. Well, the box has instructions in it which are clearly written by someone who has no concept of the English language and it seemed very complicated but I actually just plugged it into my iPad and put in the sd card and within 10 seconds my photos started to shw up. It showed them all and you could either download all or selected. I downloaded all 1700 photos in ess than 10 minutes. Voila......easy peasy! Well worth the money. Thanks amazon.

Netflix on my iPad

Here is a tip.........

If you are a watch instant Netflix viewer and want to watch on your iPad here is what you have to do. You need to have a queue for watch instantly, or know exactly what you want. You can't browse on your iPad like on your computer.eventuallylly it will begin to give you suggestions. But you do above a search bar .

Library books

I am download some audiobooks from my library to my iphone. There were so many of them available up until about 6 months ago. Now they are almost all on hold, so I just have to wait for what I want. However what could be better. Now you can download them directly from the website at your library to an overdrive app and then directly to my iphone. Previously you had to download to your iTunes acct then to your iphone. It took a little figuring at first, but now works great. The app is : OVERDRIVE. Hope this little tip helps.
Well here I am testing out what I can do. I will be posting from my iPad and it seems I cannot post pictures. Well, I will figure this out!

What am I doing?

Well, what am I doing here? I am a question asker and I guess that is how I got here. I find that I am a techie at 61.....well a minor techie anyway. I now have an iPhone, iPad and NookColor and use them all all the time. I am not a facebooker because I don't always have the time or the inkling to post, and then whammy someone is upset you didn't respond to them. But I do use my Facebook to check on others and keep mildly in touch.
I don't say that I am at all an expert, just someone who loves info. So follow me along as I have some great tea and some tech ideas, thoughts and info.
